Seriously, after the bankruptcy Raymond causes, he matures a lot when works for his uncle. Charmaine also evolves from here. She starts to work harder and doesn't mind the job status. I love this period because they are both trying to learn from their mistakes. Charmaine's character is getting very likable when she works at the Pillow Place. More understanding and compassionate. She starts to think about others' feelings too. Raymond, on the other, thinks more carefully before he does something, thinking of the pros and cons.
Basically, this scene talks about Raymond taking Charmaine on a date with only $40!! He is trying to tell her that even without money, they CAN be happy! They did in the end, sharing a naughty kiss!! I love Raymond's character, so irresistable! In order to get her flowers, he yells out "Police is coming!!" forcing the local sellers to run! And then to retort Charmaine's comment he says "I can be more naughty just for you!!"
